截肢

躺在手术室里的，是一位45岁的中年男子，因左大腿的软骨肉瘤(chondrosarcoma)复发，而面临被截肢(hip disarticulation)的命运。



不消一小时，他永远失去了左腿。


看着今早亲手检查的左脚变成等着被“打包”的“东西”，心里不禁感慨：外表再美再完整的身体，在手术台上也只不过是血肉。与其将大部分的时间与注意力投资在外在美，不如趁四肢还健全、头脑还清醒的时候，发挥它们最大的效用。
